Preserving and creating habitats for wetland species ensures greater biodiversity.

Description of the action

To enhance the safety of ground- and canopy-nesting birds (e.g., capercaillie, black grouse, hazel grouse), collaborate with hunters to control small predators, especially martens and foxes.

Why?

The pine marten is a major predator of game bird eggs, sometimes destroying up to 95% of eggs. To increase game bird populations, it is important to keep pine marten numbers low.
