Leave trees and shrubs to grow in and around the bog garden

Habitat Function Type of work
Forest
Nutrient cycle
Clear-cutting

In order to maintain biodiversity, forest microstructures (e.g. large boulders, rock gardens, bogs, springs) are maintained during forest management.

Description of the action

Leave shrubs growing in and around the bog and, if possible, leave container trees growing in and/or around the bog. Retain coarse trees and flatwood that have fallen into the bog.

Why?

The mudflat is a place with a special microclimate and shrubs and, if possible, preservative trees could be planted in and around it, and the flat wood left in place to maintain the microclimate.
