Description of the action

If you plan to cut in spring, cut the understorey forest on the planned cutting area the previous autumn or winter.

Why?

Birds may build temporary nests in the undergrowth in spring and the nests may be damaged during felling. To avoid this, it is advisable to cut the undergrowth before building nests.
