Thinning

In order to maintain biodiversity, forest microstructures (e.g. large boulders, rock gardens, bogs, springs) are maintained during forest management.

Description of the action

Avoid driving over rock outcrops and stone fences with forestry machinery. If it is technologically necessary to drive over rock outcrops or stone fences, cover them, e.g. with cuttings, and remove the cuttings after the cutting is completed.

Why?

Special but fragile habitats have formed on the rocky surfaces. If possible, they should be avoided.
