Description of the action

Avoid logging in known nesting sites of Category I and II bird species during the nesting season, except in forests damaged by natural disasters where logging is necessary to prevent wood decay or in stands with poor health conditions where logging is essential to limit the spread of forest damage.

Why?

Most Category I and II bird species in Estonia are endangered, so it is crucial to minimize disturbances during their nesting season.
