Thinning

In order to maintain biodiversity, forest microstructures (e.g. large boulders, stone walls, bogs, springs) are maintained during forest management.

Description of the action

Do not leave understory, branches, or tops on large stones, stone fields, or stone fences. If possible, avoid moving large stones and damaging vegetation on them.

Why?

Special but fragile habitats have formed on stone surfaces. If possible, avoid damaging them. Additionally, leaving understory vegetation, branches, and treetops on stones is not aesthetically pleasing.
