Description of the action

Construct ponds and larger sediment basins with gentle slopes (approx. 1:6), preferably with a south-facing shore, to create shallow water areas. This enhances aquatic biodiversity and allows smaller animals to use the pond/sediment basin.

Why?

Ponds, such as fire ponds and sediment basins, can be designed to enhance aquatic habitats and biodiversity.
